If you're like me you have half a ham left over from Easter. Ham sandwiches are awesome but you can only eat so many before you begin to resent them. My mom will take the bone and make some sort of amazing ham and bean concoction that would feed an army. I however, opted for fried rice.

This is a fun, easy and quick way to serve fruit for snack or dessert! You can always change the combination so you and your family won’t get tired of it. There are so many fruit options available from strawberries, peaches, avocado, pomegranates, banana, apples and more. You can use fresh milk one day and greek or fruit yogurt the next.
Here are some of the combination, of course, served in my very useful whisky glasses!

Dip the ladyfingers into milk and Samberry Strawberry with Whipped Cream Liqueur. Top with strawberry slices. Lightly beat cream cheese with a tsp. of sugar until creamy. Pour the creamed cream cheese on top of the strawberry slices. Top with 2 tbsps. of sweetened skimmed condensed milk and a strawberry. Yum!

Layers of homemade sponge cake, topped with slices of pineapple and peach, drizzled with fresh milk.

Slices of pineapple (lots of it), banana, peaches and raisins on top of ladyfingers dipped in brandy de jerez and milk mixture. Pour the rest of the milk mixture into the glass. Enjoy!

Layered strawberry jello, banana slices, strawberry yogurt, sweetened condensed milk and strawberry slices

Slices of oranges and strawberry previously left (30 mins.) in a mixture of orange juice, brandy de jerez and cane sugar. Take the fruits out of the mixture, place it in the whisky glass, add some raisins and a teaspoon or two of the juice mixture. Sprinkle a tsp. of cane sugar on top and garnish with barquillos or wafer sticks.
Which was your favorite whisky glass dessert?
Aside from enjoying fruits on its own, my family also loves it served in whisky glasses. According to my daughter, dessert looks fancier when served in whisky glasses. So, here’s another whisky glass dessert which we called Fresh Fruit Cocktail Parfait. You can mix and combine different fruits (fresh, frozen or preserved) of your choice. Plus, by using cheese instead of whipping cream, you will extra calcium intake and less fat!
You will need:
ladyfingers or sponge cake slices
cream cheese or mascarpone cheese
white sugar
clear vanilla extract
lemon zest or extract
strawberries, hulled and sliced in bite sizes and extra strawberries for toppings
canned peaches, diced
kiwifruit slices
grapes
fresh milk
Directions:
1. Dip the ladyfingers in milk. Carefully place the ladyfingers in the whisky glasses.
2. Beat the cream cheese and sugar. Add vanilla extract and lemon zest.
3. Place the strawberry slices on top of the ladyfingers.
4. On top of the strawberries, place some creamed cream cheese.
5. On top of that, place the sliced peaches. Top this with another layer of cream cheese.
6. Decorate with fruits.
7. Cover with cling film and chill.
8. Serve and enjoy!
Here’s another whisky glass dessert which I hope you will enjoy.
For two servings, you will need:
1 orange, peeled and diced
1 apple, cored and diced
1 kiwi, peeled and diced
1 small can pineapples, sliced
raisins
2 tbsps. pineapple juice
2 tbsps. orange juice
1 tbsp. brandy de jerez or cognac (optional)
honey
cane sugar
Directions:
1. In a whisky glass, layer the slices of orange, apple, kiwi, pineapple and raisins.
2. In a separate small glass, mix the pineapple and orange juice with the brandy. Pour this on top of the fruits.
3. Place a teaspoon of honey on top of the fruits in glass and top this with a teaspoon of cane sugar.
4. Enjoy!
Do you remember this smooth, creamy and think avocado shake that my family loves? Well, we found another way of enjoying it. It’s really so easy! Just prepare the avocado shake as seen here. Also, whip some whipping cream with a bit of vanilla extract, lemon and orange zest. Pour the avocado shake in the whisky glass. Pour some whipped cream on top of the avocado shake for a pretty layer. And top with your toppings of choice: cherry, strawberries, chocolate, etc.
You will love the creamy and smooth texture of this dessert. The contrast between the flavors surprisingly blends in so wonderfully. Do try this recipe. I hope you will enjoy it!
